Biography

Borges continues as director of the National Library and as a professor at the University of Buenos Aires. He is active writing poems and short prose pieces, many of which will be collected in El hacedor in 1960 or in El otro, el mismo in 1964.

Arturo Frondizi, candidate of the Union Cívica Radical Intransigente (UCRI), elected president with Peronist support.  Passing of educational reform allowing the creation of private universities.
