Biography

Elected president of the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores for the period 1950-1953. Teaches English literature at the Asociación Argentina de Cultura Inglesa and various courses at the Colegio Libre de Estudios Superiores. Very active giving talks.

Locations

Borges continues living at Calle Maipú 994. Travels to La Plata, San Fernando, Santiago del Estero, Avellaneda, Tucumán, Montevideo, Resistencia, Corrientes, and Encarnación.

Historical Context

Commemoration of the Centennial of General  José de San Martín’s passing.
