Death of poet Evaristo Carriego, friend of the Borges family. Borges would later write several essays and a 1930 biographical essay on him. Borges withdraws from primary school on Calle Thames after being bullied. No further formal schooling until March 1913.
The family spent the summer in a country house in the Calle Macías, Adrogué, Greater Buenos Aires.
